Raised in Upstate New York, Nancy L. Davis has lived in Ohio, Pennsylvania, Massachusetts and Illinois, where for the past 35 years she has called Chicago home. She holds a Master of Fine Arts degree in Creative Writing from the University of Massachusetts in Amherst and has worked both as a Writer/Producer of award-winning educational films and an Associate Professor of English at Harper College, where she co-chaired the English Department and taught classes in literature, expository, research and creative writing. Currently, she divides her writing time between Park Ridge, IL, and Long Beach, IN, on Lake Michigan. In addition to writing, she gardens, kayaks, travels, reads, volunteers, and takes advantage of Chicago’s cultural offerings.
